October 2011, 31st : The Day I Saw Coldplay Live !
So that’s the second part of my review, I hope the first one wasn’t too annoying !
So I came back from Starbucks, it was 5PM. Auriane, my friend, really annoyed me because she drag us down all day long & I was so disappointed by her behaviour… Hopefully Faustine was here ! So Auriane totally let us down, she came back home & leave me alone (I was sleeping in her house) ! Faustine had to go but she didn’t want to… So I met two other fans who are really nice, we started to talk & I’m happy to know them now ! :)
We were waiting when Guy & Will arrived again. We already had photos & autographs so we let other fans enjoy ! But I stared at Guy, realized how much he was perfect & stuff xD It can seem weird but I looked at him as long as I can cause I don’t know when I’ll be able to see him again ! xD
And something like 15-20 minutes later, we saw another car… And, ladies & gentlemen, Chris Martin ! He came to us, I didn’t recognize myself cause I nearly shouted “HI CHRIS !” LOL When he saw I had MX he signed it without I asked him ! (Of course I wanted to ^^) & Then we took a photo.. He took me by the shoulder, I put my hand on his back, & I told him “Thank you so much” while touching his back ! I don’t know if you see what I mean…
I hope the drawing is expressive ! xD
We waited again, again.. We took a hot chocolate at McDo..
We had no tickets so we had to wait all the invited people to get in, & to pray for organizers to give us some tickets ! & Then we heard the show began… MX, Hurts Like Heaven… & I was like “NOOOO THEY’RE PLAYING JUST BEHIND THESE DOORS & I CAN’T SEE THEM I’M SO FRUSTRATED !” :( Organizers came out, gave two tickets to two girls who were waiting since 6AM, came in, came out with three tickets, came in, came out on the other side with six tickets, came in, came out on our side with four tickets, came in, & finally, came out with 51056410 tickets, saying “Please don’t scream, don’t be violent, we have enough tickets for everybody, keep calm !” & we finally get into la Cigale while they were playing Major Minus.
How to describe you this feeling… It’s like you ever knew everything (watching livestreams makes you know setlist & stuff) but you discovered it at the same time. For sure, it’s the same show you saw on your computer, but you’re there. They’re playing for you. Chris is playing piano in front of you, Jonny is making his death riffs in front of you, Guy is playing like sexy as hell in front of you, & Will is giving all his energy just for your eyes.
La Cigale was CROWDED. Really. & Like we arrived in last, there was a lot of people in front of us, & very tall guys ! I tried to see between heads & actually I more heard the show than saw it… Or should I say FEEL it. I was feeling the floor shake when Will was playing. It is an incredible feeling, & then I realized that in halls like Bercy, O2, big scenes, you will never have this feeling. Because it is too big. & That’s why I wanted to go to this show. I’m so so lucky.
They played The Scientist ; I sang at the end “Nobody said it was eaaasy”. Then they played Violet Hill, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face (LA SEXY VERSION !!! I nearly had an orgasm xDDD), Paradise, Up In Flames (during this song there was a weird noise, & Chris said “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ?” I laughed so hard !), Viva La Vida (I lived it ! Wohohooohohoooohoooo ! Bell !) Charlie Brown & Life Is For Living.
When I heard the first notes of Life Is For Living, I was like “NOOOOOOO NOT ALREADY NO WAY IT’S TOO SHORT ! TOO SHORT !”
Do I have to mention that I sang all long, every song, screamed, applaud ?
They came back for the curtain call. They began with Clocks. I swear I shout like if my life depended on it. I was fucking excited cause this is my favourite bass line ever. It’s so sexy. And Guy was sexy as fuck. While playing, he moved in a so energetic way ! I never saw him like that ! I wanted to run & to jump on him, hug him & never let him go.
Then they played pre-Rehab & Fix You. I cried. Yes. & They finished with Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. Chris was jumping everywhere, like if he was on a big scene ! They took a bow three times, they applauded us, we applauded them ; everything was about love & nothing hurt.
If I had to sum up my day in a few words, I’d choose love, energy, amazing kindness, incredible music & modesty. Modesty.
So I hope I made you live this show as I lived it, I hope it wasn’t too annoying & you read me with pleasure ! :)

You lucky lucky girl!!! I wanna meet the guys and I have like a zero percent chance of them even coming back to Buffalo or to Syracuse or Rochester or … or … I have to come to terms with the fact that I will probably never see let alone meet Coldplay.

October 2011, 31st : The Day I Met Coldplay !
I arrived at Gare de Lyon at 11am with my friend Auriane to meet my best friend Faustine. We had a few things to do, & then we received a text from our friend Jennifer : the guys would sleep at the Xyz Hotel ! (I won’t tell the name, for respect to the guys).
So we took the subway & walked to the hotel. We asked to a groom if he knew if the band was there, & he told us he couldn’t tell it to us, he couldn’t say anything, etc. Then a nicer man came to tell us that the band wasn’t there yet, they received their luggages at 2PM & they would come after the show, so at night.
We ate sushis & went to La Cigale. It was 1:30PM. There wasn’t a lot of people waiting in front of the doors (we were so surprised !) but we decided to wait at the stage door. We were the first ones ! There was a guy who guarded the door so we didn’t dare to stand in front of it xD When the other girls arrived we went with them & the guarder was nice after all ^^
At 3PM, we saw two big black cars arrive & we knew they were in… My feelings at this moment : I wanted to cry, to vomit, I was stressed, I couldn’t move, I thought about way too much things & that was awful ! But so wonderful at the same time… Jonny got out of the car first, & everybody came to him ! But Guy & Will came & nobody saw them, only two girls, my friends & me so I ran to Guy !
Girls. Guy is the man of my dreams. He’s like my fantasy. & I was so close to him… One of my dreams came true. Really. & Then, HE TALKED. With his smoothy & handsome voice. He said “HI”. & That’s when he lost me. I wasn’t able to say any single word. I just told him “Hi”, he signed my album, we took a picture (Faustine took a lot as you saw xD) & I told “Thank you so much”. That’s all. I regret it so much now but there was no other way !
Then I came to Will, & I have to say he’s the most adorable person I’ve ever seen ! When we asked him if we could take a picture, he said “Yeah of course no problem !” so he signed MX & we took a picture together :) Jonny was gone unfortunately… I’m a bit disappointed but I absolutely don’t have to complain !
We waited for Chris a hour more, but he didn’t come.. So we got a Starbucks to rest a little (my leg hurt me all day long !) & came back to the stage door at 5PM.
So that’s the first part ! I give you this before writing the rest ! :) I hope you’ll enjoy !
